Natural Supplements and COVID-19

The evidence is overwhelming, and needs to be fully investigated. Lab tests indicate over 50 substances implicated in severe COVID-19 are improved by four safe, inexpensive natural supplements. Almost universally, these biomarkers are made worse by glucose, and potentially improved by Cannabinoids, Curcumin, Vitamin D, and Gaba.
However, without clinical trials, physicians at the CDC will not recommend this combined treatment strategy. For this reason, the public should be made aware of this potential treatment!

Cytokine study

THE EVIDENCE IS HERE

According to the data presented on this website, clinical trials will likely reveal that the combination of CBD, Curcumin, Vitamin D, and GABA should reduce substances raised after infection with the coronavirus—and drastically raised in "long COVID."

And almost certainly, reducing sugars, and high carbs should improve the symptoms of COVID-19.

The huge amount of evidence of how these natural supplements likely will treat COVID-19 continues to be verified in a PUBMED data base search. So far, the evidence is overwhelming!
All 4 supplements together should be investigated in clinical trials, according to over 200:
· In Vitro (animal) studies
· In Vito (lab) studies
· Clinical trials (related to other illnesses)
Enough evidence exists to fully investigate this data in clinical trials. Furthermore, since it does not hurt to reasonably use these natural substances, and reduce sugar intake the public should be immediately informed , and be given the choice to use them preemptively, potentially improving the outcomes of COVID-19!

Clinical Trial on CBD and Covid19

Cytokine study

From Press Release:
LAS VEGAS, Dec. 22, 2022 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- Gb Sciences, Inc. (OTCQB:GBLX), a leading plant-inspired, biopharmaceutical research and development company, is developing cannabis-inspired anti-inflammatory therapeutics that address Cytokine Release Syndrome (CRS) caused by viral infections like COVID-19 and others. Over the two pandemic years, more than 540 million people across the world contracted COVID-19 and 6.3 million died from the hyperinflammatory side effects related to this viral infection, which inspired Gb Sciences to create anti-inflammatory drugs designed to treat future viral outbreaks that elicit these dangerous hyperinflammatory responses.

1991: The First Study that indicated THC and CBD could stop the "cytokine storm"

Covid19 Science Portal

  • Other lung infections besides those caused by COVID-19 can cause the "cytokine storm"
  • Since this first study, numerous lab and animal studies indicated this was a possible treatment, but there was no interest in governments or the pharmaceutical industry to fund clinical trials
  • It was possible for a treatment to be available when this pandemic began, if clinical trials were conducted, and concluded that CBD is a treatment.

  • Clinical trials that prove Cannabis, and Curcumin lower cytokine levels!

    Concerned
What if I get a "breakthrough infection?"
Since there is no known treatment for COVID-19,
the responsible use of these natural supplements is logical, prior to absolute proof when clinical trials are concluded. If there is no harm, it is "better to be safe than sorry." COVID-19 can kill.
Unlike variant specific treatments, or those that lose their effectiveness, these supplements should reduce coronavirus symptoms, regardless of the strain.

Governments have been hostile to research on the cannabinoids CBD and THC
  • Stricter regulations have stood in the way of research
  • Pharmaceutical companies usually only invest in patented medications, not inexpensive supplements.
  • These hindrances cause some researchers to study other substances

    DOSAGES

  • CBD: Dosage, Efficacy and Safety of Cannabidiol Administration in Adults: A Systematic Review of Human Trials
  • Bioavailability of curcumin: problems and promises
  • Vitamin D supplementation guidelines
  • Effects of Oral Gamma-Aminobutyric Acid (GABA) Administration on Stress and Sleep in Humans: A Systematic Review

  • CANNABINOIDS (CBD, THC)

  • Cannabinoids affect the P450 enzyme that facilitates the absorption of medications. Certain medications may not be as effective, or their enhanced. If taking any prescription medications, discuss possible interactions with your physician.
  • Some people cannot orally absorb CBD effectively.
  • In extremely high doses, CBD has raised an enzyme in horses that can cause liver damage, also raised in COVID-19
  • Never take cannabinoids with prescription blood thinners. It can enhance or reduce their effects.
  • Never discontinue cannabis or any medication suddenly. A rebound or reverse of positive effects is possible.
  • THC can potentially trigger and/or aggravate schizophrenia, or bipolar disorder, but so can many over the counter and prescription medications, if someone has this genetic condition. However, studies find no evidence as a cause
  • CURCUMIN

  • Extreme high doses of Curcumin has caused liver damage in lab animals
  • Curcumin can interact with prescription medications. If on any prescriptions, the advice of a physician should be sought.
  • VITAMIN D

  • Extremely high doses of vitamin D has caused blood clotting. This could be due to a decrease in Thrombospodin-1, also decreased in COVID-19.
    GABA

  • Gaba can interact with prescription medications. If on any prescriptions, the advice of a physician should be sought.
  • Gaba can potentially trigger and/or aggravate schizophrenia, or bipolar disorder, but so can many over the counter or prescription medications, if someone has this genetic condition.
